Agartala: A total of 62 youth delegates from Tripura will depart for New Delhi to participate in the Viksit Bharat National Youth Festival 2026, scheduled to be held from January 9 to January 12.
Ahead of their journey, a felicitation ceremony was organised on Monday at Ujjayanta Prasad, Agartala, where the delegates were formally honoured. The programme was attended by Tinku Roy, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, along with other officials and dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Tinku Roy encouraged the young participants to represent Tripura with pride and to actively engage in discussions on leadership, nation-building, and innovation during the festival. He said the National Youth Festival provides an important platform for young leaders to exchange ideas and contribute to the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
The youth delegates expressed enthusiasm about participating in the national event and said they were eager to learn, share experiences, and bring back valuable insights for the benefit of the state.
