The 73rd “BALIDAN DIWAS” in honour of Bharat Kesari Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee was commemorated on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Deshbandhu Memorial Park (Keoratala Burning Ghat) from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event saw a gathering of prominent figures such as Opposition Leader of West Bengal Assembly Sri Subhendu Adhikary, Additional Solicitor General of West Bengal, Former Governor of Tripura Sri Tathagoto Roy, MP Rajya Sabha Sri Samik Bhattacharjee, BJP Leader Sri Rahul Sinha, Senior Advocate of Kolkata High Court Sri Amitvo Nayak and thousands of individuals from various sectors of the city who came together to pay their respects to the statue of Dr. Mukherjee, the visionary behind the creation of West Bengal.
