The government of Tripura is taking a strong stand against child marriage. They’re launching a big campaign to raise awareness and stop this harmful practice.
To kick things off, they held events on March 8th, International Women’s Day. Different departments made promises to fight against child marriage and honored women who are doing great work.
The main event will happen on March 13th in Agartala, where the Chief Minister will be present. They will give awards to people who have done a lot to prevent child marriage and support women.
There will also be a mini-marathon for women and a friendly football match to celebrate women and their achievements.
This campaign shows that Tripura is serious about protecting children’s rights and making sure girls have a better future.
