Elon Musk visited the Pentagon on Friday morning, giving information about unspecified military matters, as the Trump administration denied reports that they should break the war with China to discuss secret US plans.
Donald Trump and others pushed back against a New York Times report on Thursday night that the US President’s leading colleague was to be filled on the strategy in the incident that China and America go to war.
Two unnamed officials told The Times about the plans. One third said the briefing would focus on China, but was not further specified, while a fourth confirmed Kasturi would visit the Pentagon.
As a prominent advisor to Trump and head of the so -called “government’s efficiency department” (DOGE), Musk has exercised wide powers in two months since Trump returned to the White House, large -scale retrenchment and to reduce the budget in the federal government. But when the Pentagon was also in queue to be a target for job cuts, Musk has so far played any role there, including defense intelligence or military operations.

In the early hours of Friday morning, Musk refused reports, called it “pure publicity” and threatened to find the leaked information.
“I look forward to the prosecutions of those in the Pentagon who are leaking falsely false information,” he wrote. “They will meet.”
Musk reiterated his demand for such prosecution when Washington DC came to the Defense Department on the outskirts on Friday morning. He left the Pentagon about 90 minutes after reaching.
A Pentagon spokesman, asked to explain the real purpose of the administration of Musk by email that it would plan a war with China, the Guardian mentioned a statement posted on social media by Hegseth.
The Wall Street Journal later confirmed the report of The New York Times, which also cited two anonymous US authorities, and the Washington Post and other outlets chased with additional reporting.
Hegseth was scheduled to comment with Trump from the Oval office at 11 am on Friday. It is not clear whether he will address Musk’s visit or not.
According to The Times report, the meeting was scheduled for not being in Hegseth’s office, where there would be informal meetings about innovation, but a safe conference is known as a tank in the room, usually used for high-level meetings. Musk was to be briefed on a plan that includes 20 to 30 slides and described how the US Army would fight the struggle with China.
Officers, anonymously talking to the Times and the journal, offered possible reasons why Musk was getting briefing. The Times suggested that Kasturi, in its dog capacity, may be looking at trimming the Pentagon budget and would need to know what the US would use the US military property in a possible struggle with China.
A source told The Journal that Musk was getting briefing because he had asked for one.
Although Musk has a “top-covered” withdrawal within the federal government, SpaceX lawyers advised him not to seek high level safety approval in December, perhaps he would be denied the use of his foreign relationships and individual drugs.
