To mark the 69th Foundation Day of the Tripura Cooperative Department, a blood donation camp was organized on Tuesday at the MARKFED Building in Bardowali.
The event was graced by Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, along with senior officials, cooperative members, and departmental staff. The blood donation drive was conducted as a symbol of community service and collective responsibility, reflecting the spirit of the cooperative movement in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Noatia emphasized the importance of cooperative institutions in driving grassroots economic growth, self-reliance, and social solidarity. He also appreciated the volunteers who came forward to donate blood, calling it a “selfless act for humanity”.
The Cooperative Department has played a vital role in promoting agricultural support systems, rural banking, dairy and farming cooperatives, and marketing federations across Tripura. The event also highlighted the department’s long-standing commitment to both economic empowerment and social welfare.
As part of the celebrations, dignitaries also discussed the department’s upcoming plans to strengthen cooperative societies, introduce digitization in services, and promote youth involvement in self-sustaining economic models.
The event concluded with a pledge to continue serving the community through cooperative action and public welfare programs.
