A new chapter has begun in the education sector of Tripura.
After returning to the state from a Delhi visit this morning, Tripura’s Hon’ble Minister for Backward Tribes Welfare and Education Department, Bikash Debbarma, made an important announcement to journalists at Agartala Airport. He said, “A new dawn is about to begin for Tripura.”
The Minister announced that the approval for six Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) for the state has been confirmed after a meeting with TWD (Tribal Welfare Department) Ministry Secretary Shri Vibhu Nayar in Delhi. He said, “These schools will not only spread the light of education but also awaken the qualities of leadership, self-confidence, and creativity in every child of the tribal-dominated areas.”
Minister Debbarma’s speech was full of conviction. He said, “Education is not just a curriculum; it is the backbone of a nation. Through this decision, we want to make that backbone even stronger.”
Educationists believe that these schools will be a beacon of hope for the tribal-dominated and backward areas scattered across Tripura. The schools will be built with modern infrastructure, residential facilities, and an environment suitable for holistic development.
The Minister further said, “Tripura is not just dreaming now; rather, it is moving firmly on the path to realizing that dream. Through this project, we want to provide every child in the state with the opportunity that will help build their future.”
In response to various questions from journalists present at the airport, the Minister assured that these schools will be implemented rapidly with the joint efforts of the central and state governments. He called upon parents, teachers, and ordinary citizens to participate actively in this educational journey.
This announcement is not just an administrative decision; it is a firm step towards fulfilling the dreams of a generation.
