District administrator Dilip Chakma visited the Sonamukhi tea garden’s waste segregation center with the chairpersons of Kailashahar and Kumarghat municipalities.
Under the Unakoti district, the chairpersons of Kailashahar and Kumarghat municipalities were accompanied by the district administrator Dilip Kumar Chakma to inspect the waste segregation center at the Sonamukhi tea garden. Apart from the district administrator, additional district magistrate Argha Saha, Kailashahar municipality chairperson Chhobla Rani Debray, Kumarghat municipality chairperson Yadu Das, Kailashahar sub-divisional officer Pradip Sarkar, Kumarghat sub-divisional officer N.S. Chakma, BDO of Gournagar block Bidyunarayan Chakraborty, Deputy Magistrate Vishwajit Das, Hemanta Dhar, and other officials were also present during the inspection.
At the end of the inspection, District Administrator Dilip Kumar Chakma informed reporters that a meeting was held in the conference hall of the district administrator’s office. After the meeting, all officials visited the waste segregation center in the Sonamukhi tea garden to familiarize themselves with all the details. All waste from Kailashahar and Kumarghat municipalities will be brought to this center, where the waste will be segregated using modern scientific methods very soon. For this purpose, large and modern machines will be installed very soon. The actual placement of these machines inside the waste segregation center was also inspected during the visit. Engineers from both municipalities were also present during the inspection.
