Last year, on a day like this, the respected Secretary of Usha Bazar Bharat Ratna Sangh, Durga Prasanna Deb, also known as Vicky, was tragically shot dead by criminals. Following the incident, the local police had arrested suspects in connection with the murder. Vicky had taken a loan of 1 million 60 thousand Taka from the bank to buy a house, but the loan was not repaid after his death.
On the anniversary of Durga Prasanna Deb’s death, the community of Usha Bazar Bharat Ratna Sangh and the residents of the area came together to repay the loan on Wednesday. In a symbolic gesture, they presented the deed to Vicky’s family.
