Union Minister Nadda, in a show of solidarity and support, recently reached out to Tripura state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharya to check on the flood situation in the state. The heavy rainfall in areas such as West Tripura, Khowai, and Unakoti has led to widespread flooding, affecting numerous residents.
As a response to the crisis, the state government has set up a total of 60 relief camps across the affected districts. Among these, 48 are located in West Tripura, 3 in Khowai, 3 in Unakoti, and 6 in North Tripura. These camps are currently providing shelter to around 2,800 families, with an estimated total of 10,600 individuals seeking refuge.
Taking to social media, BJP Tripura President Rajib Bhattacharya shared, “BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda reached out to me today to inquire about the unexpected flood situation caused by the heavy rains in the state over the past few days.”
Bhattacharya further added, “I updated him on the current situation in the state, and he assured us of his unwavering support and assistance. I am truly grateful for his continuous support and for standing by the people of Tripura during these challenging times.”
