Agartala, Tripura: The Tripura state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Patanjali Group, paving the way for a major investment of approximately Rs.300 to Rs.400 crore in the state. The MoU was formalised during a programme held in Agartala, marking a significant step towards industrial and economic development in Tripura.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha was present at the signing ceremony and described the agreement as a milestone for investment promotion and employment generation in the state. He stated that the partnership with Patanjali would strengthen Tripura’s industrial base and open up new opportunities for local youth.
Also present at the event were Minister Santana Chakma, the Managing Director of the Patanjali Trust, and other senior officials and representatives from both the state government and the Patanjali Group.
Officials informed that the proposed investment would be utilised for setting up manufacturing and allied facilities, which are expected to boost the local economy and support the state’s vision of sustainable development.
The state government reiterated its commitment to providing a conducive environment for investors, while Patanjali representatives expressed confidence in Tripura’s potential and support from the administration.
