A large number of unemployed youths were seen standing in long queues at a job fair in Agartala, hopeful of securing employment in private sector establishments. The job fair witnessed significant participation from job seekers across different educational backgrounds, reflecting the growing demand for employment opportunities in the state.
Speaking to the media, Asim Saha, Director of the Employment Service & Manpower Planning Department, stated that the job fair was organised to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers. He highlighted that such initiatives aim to provide direct interaction between private companies and aspiring candidates, thereby improving placement prospects.
Officials noted that multiple private firms participated in the fair, offering opportunities in various sectors. The enthusiastic turnout underlined the importance of regular job fairs in addressing unemployment and guiding youths toward suitable career paths.
