The Tripura High Court Bar Association conducted its annual elections today in a smooth and orderly manner. The legal community turned out in significant numbers to cast their votes and elect the new executive body that will lead the association for the upcoming term.
Voting Process and Turnout
The polling process commenced at 9:00 AM at the designated polling booth within the High Court premises. Advocates from across the state, who are members of the High Court Bar, participated in the democratic process to choose their representatives for key positions, including President, Secretary, and other executive members.
To ensure transparency and fairness, the election was conducted under the supervision of a dedicated election committee. The atmosphere remained professional yet competitive as various panels campaigned until the final hours.
Counting and Results Schedule
According to Election Officer S.C. Das, the voting process concluded successfully as per the scheduled time. However, the wait for the final outcome will continue for a few days.
”The polling has been completed peacefully today. The counting of votes is scheduled to begin on February 21, after which the official results will be announced,” stated Officer S.C. Das during a media interaction.
The ballots have been secured under strict vigilance until the date of counting. The upcoming results are highly anticipated, as the new leadership will be responsible for addressing the welfare of advocates and maintaining the coordination between the Bar and the Bench at the state’s highest judicial institution.
