The Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (STGT) 2025-26, conducted by the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT), was held across the state today. To oversee the smooth and transparent conduct of the examination, TRBT Chairman Pratyush Ranjan Deb personally visited several examination centers in the capital city.
Strict Monitoring and Smooth Conduct
Chairman Pratyush Ranjan Deb began his inspection early in the morning as candidates started arriving at the venues. During his visit to centers like Umakanta Academy and other prominent schools in Agartala, he monitored the security arrangements, the biometric verification process, and the distribution of question papers.
Speaking to the media during his inspection tour, the Chairman stated:
- Successful Execution: The examination was conducted in 63 centers across the state for approximately 20,000 eligible candidates.
- Strict Entry Protocols: Adhering to the board’s guidelines, the gates were closed at 11:00 AM. The Chairman emphasized that punctuality is essential to maintain the integrity of the recruitment process.
- Peaceful Atmosphere: He expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangements, noting that no major technical glitches or disturbances were reported from any part of the state.
Ensuring Transparency in Recruitment
The STGT is a crucial examination for aspiring teachers aiming to secure positions in government schools for Classes IX and X. Mr. Deb reaffirmed the board’s commitment to a merit-based selection process. He assured the candidates that the evaluation would be carried out with the utmost precision and that the tentative answer keys would be released shortly on the official TRBT portal.
The visit by the Chairman was seen as a measure to boost the confidence of the aspirants and to ensure that the invigilators and center superintendents followed the standard operating procedures (SOPs) strictly.
