The capital city witnessed a grand celebration of development as Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha officially inaugurated the three-day “Viksit Bharat Viksit Tripura” Mega Exhibition at the Agartala Children’s Park today. The event is designed to showcase the transformative journey of Tripura under the “Double-Engine” government and align the state’s aspirations with the national vision of a developed India by 2047.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several high-profile dignitaries, including BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, AMC Mayor and MLA Shri Dipak Majumdar, and senior government officials.
Showcasing the ‘HIRA’ Model of Development
The exhibition features a wide array of stalls representing various state and central government departments. The primary focus remains on the HIRA (Highways, Internet, Railways, and Airways) model, which has significantly improved Tripura’s connectivity in recent years.
Highlights of the Mega Exhibition:
- Direct Benefit Schemes: Stalls dedicated to Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission are providing live information and registration assistance to visitors.
- Empowering Women: A special section dedicated to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) showcases indigenous products, including handloom, bamboo crafts, and processed organic foods.
- Technological Advancement: Interactive displays by the IT department highlight the growth of digital services and the recently launched State Innovation Mission.

In his inaugural address, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated that the exhibition is a testament to the transparency and speed of the current administration.
”Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura has broken the shackles of backwardness. From being a landlocked state, we are now becoming the gateway to Southeast Asia. This exhibition is not just about showing posters; it is about celebrating the tangible change in the lives of our 40 lakh citizens,” the Chief Minister said.
Political Leaders Hail the Initiative
BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee remarked that the overwhelming response from the public on the first day proves the people’s trust in the developmental agenda. Mayor Dipak Majumdar added that such exhibitions in public spaces like Children’s Park help bridge the gap between the government and the common man.
Public Engagement & Cultural Programs
The exhibition will remain open to the public for the next two days from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. To add to the festive spirit, cultural troupes from different parts of the state will perform traditional dances and songs every evening, highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of “Viksit Tripura.”
