AGARTALA: Commemorating five years of dedicated service to veterans and the local community, the All Force Ex-Servicemen Welfare Society organized a comprehensive medical health camp and an interactive seminar on Tuesday. The twin commemorative events were hosted at Gorkhabasti in Agartala to mark the organization’s 5th Foundation Day.
The welfare drive was inaugurated by West Tripura District Magistrate & Collector Dr. Vishal Kumar, who attended as the Chief Guest to support the defense veterans, retired paramilitary personnel, and their families.
A Multi-Specialty Medical Shield for Veterans and Locals
The day-long medical camp was engineered to provide free diagnostic and consultative healthcare under one roof, specifically targeting retired soldiers, their dependents, and residents of the nearby Gorkhabasti locality.
Key Technical Components of the Health Initiative:
- Specialist Consultations: Experienced clinical physicians and specialists from state hospitals conducted comprehensive screenings for cardiac health, diabetes management, and geriatric ailments.
- On-Spot Diagnostic Diagnostics: Dedicated clinical desks provided free baseline blood sugar profiling, blood pressure monitoring, and general health vitals check-ups.
- Free Medicine Distribution: Following the clinical evaluations, the society distributed free, high-quality essential medicines and prescription supplements to the patients.
The medical drive was seamlessly paired with a high-level seminar focusing on the structural welfare schemes managed by both the state and central governments for ex-servicemen, alongside streamlining the resolution of pending pension anomalies.
“The Nation Stands Indebted to Our Ex-Servicemen”: DM Dr. Vishal Kumar
Addressing the gathering of retired personnel, army veterans, and local organizers, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar lauded the proactive social initiatives of the society.
”Our ex-servicemen have spent the prime years of their lives standing on the borders to guarantee our national security. Even after hanging up their uniforms, the fact that they have formed this society to serve ordinary citizens through health camps is deeply inspiring.
The district administration is fully committed to standing by our veterans. Whether it is facilitating quick administrative clearances, sorting out land records, or ensuring that retired personnel receive top-tier healthcare benefits, my office door is always open for you. On this 5th Foundation Day, I congratulate the All Force Ex-Servicemen Welfare Society and assure them of our absolute logistical support in all future community development projects,” West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar stated to the press.
Broad Organizational Presence
The commemorative seminar saw a significant turnout of retired senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), alongside prominent civic elders.
The executive leadership of the All Force Ex-Servicemen Welfare Society concluded the event by thanking DM Dr. Vishal Kumar for his supportive presence and vowed to expand their voluntary outreach into remote border villages of West Tripura through decentralized health and digital literacy camps over the coming months.
