With the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections on the horizon, senior BJP leader and Cabinet Minister Shri Ratan Lal Nath has officially sounded the poll bugle. On Sunday, the Minister chaired a high-level organizational meeting for the No. 14 Bodhjungnagar-Wakkinagar constituency, signaling the start of the party’s intensive “warm-up” campaign for the crucial hill council polls.
The meeting focused on grassroots mobilization and strengthening the booth-level committees to ensure a landslide victory for the saffron party.
Strategy for a “Saffron ADC”
Addressing a packed hall of booth karyakartas (workers), Minister Ratan Lal Nath expressed immense confidence in the party’s rising influence within the ADC areas. He emphasized that the developmental work of the “Double-Engine” government would be the primary plank for the upcoming elections.
Key Highlights of the Organizational Meeting:
- Booth-Level Strengthening: Detailed instructions were given to workers to reach out to every household and highlight the various state and central welfare schemes.
- Winning Mandate: The committee took a formal pledge to ensure that the BJP-nominated candidate from the Bodhjungnagar-Wakkinagar seat wins by a massive margin.
- Unity of Mandals: The meeting saw a rare coordination effort between the leadership of Simna, Mohanpur, and Bamutia Mandals, showcasing a united front for the 14th seat.
“Confidence in a BJP-led ADC Government” — Ratan Lal Nath
Speaking to the media following the session, the Minister struck an optimistic note regarding the overall outcome of the TTAADC elections.
”We are moving forward with absolute faith and self-confidence. The people in the hills have seen the transformation under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Manik Saha. I am certain that for the first time, a BJP-led government will be established in the TTAADC to ensure the holistic development of our indigenous brothers and sisters,” Minister Ratan Lal Nath stated.
Leadership Presence
The organizational meet was attended by several key political figures, including:
- President, BJP Sadar (Rural) District.
- Mandal Presidents of Simna, Mohanpur, and Bamutia.
- Prominent tribal and non-tribal wing leaders of the party.
The Political Context
The Bodhjungnagar-Wakkinagar seat is considered a vital constituency due to its mix of industrial and rural tribal populations. By kicking off the campaign here, the BJP aims to consolidate its hold on the outskirts of the capital before moving deep into the interior hills.
The party plans to hold similar “booth-level interaction” programs across all 28 elective seats of the ADC in the coming weeks.
