Agartala, Tripura: A meeting was organised by the All Tripura Blind Committee at the Agartala Press Club on Tuesday.
During the meeting, committee members discussed various issues related to the welfare, rights, and challenges faced by visually impaired persons in the state. Speakers highlighted the need for better accessibility, employment opportunities, social security measures, and effective implementation of government schemes meant for persons with disabilities.
The committee also appealed to the authorities to take proactive steps to ensure inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunities for visually impaired citizens across Tripura.
The meeting concluded with a call for collective efforts from the government and society to address long-pending demands and improve the quality of life of persons with visual disabilities.
