Ahead of Armed Forces Flag Day on 7 December, the Sainik Board has commenced its annual week-long fundraising campaign in Agartala to support the families of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service to the nation.
Every year, the Board collects contributions to assist dependents of martyred and disabled defence personnel. As Sunday was a holiday, the fundraising drive officially took to the streets on Monday, with Sainik Board members and NCC cadets participating actively across various parts of the city.
Volunteers engaged with citizens, encouraging them to contribute and honour the sacrifices made by India’s armed forces. The campaign will continue throughout the week, culminating on Flag Day.
