Assam Rifles, the oldest paramilitary force in India, recently organized a series of yoga sessions aimed at promoting holistic wellness among its personnel and the local community. The event took place on 30 April 2025 at Kunjaban Garrison in Agartala and was led by Mrs. Padmini Jog, a renowned yoga practitioner with over three decades of experience.
Mrs. Jog conducted focused yoga sessions tailored for different age groups, including students of the Assam Rifles Public School in Agartala. The sessions were designed to highlight the importance of yoga in building discipline, focus, emotional well-being, and inner peace. More than 300 individuals, including children and women, actively participated in the event, showcasing their enthusiasm for the practice of yoga.
Mrs. Jog is well-known for her dedication to promoting yoga across the country. She has conducted over 900 yoga camps, even in challenging terrains such as high-altitude areas in Jammu & Kashmir. Alongside her late husband, she has worked tirelessly to introduce yoga to Armed Forces personnel, police units, educational institutions, and civilian communities. Her commitment to wellness knows no boundaries, making her presence at the Assam Rifles event both inspiring and impactful.
