Police in the Amatali area near the Neelgiri hills in Khayerpur bypass have arrested an auto driver with 90,000 Yaba tablets. The estimated market value of the seized drugs is around 1 crore 35 lakh taka. The arrest was made after a tip-off, and the driver is currently in police custody.
According to Superintendent of Police for West Tripura, Namit Pathak, the auto driver was caught during a routine check. The police are now investigating the source of the drugs and any potential links to larger drug trafficking networks. The driver will be charged under the Narcotics Control Act.
