Suspected criminals allegedly set fire to an auto-rickshaw, burning it in the Jitendra Munda basti area of North Ramchandra Ghat, Mithna Chora Munda, Khoyai district.
According to reports, Jitendra Munda had parked his auto-rickshaw in the veranda of his house and was sleeping last night. Around midnight, he suddenly noticed intense flames coming from inside the house. Upon rushing out, he saw someone setting his auto-rickshaw on fire. Immediately, he informed the fire department and also reported the incident to the police station. As the fire brigade did not arrive, the local residents, along with themselves, managed to control the fire with water.
Jitendra Munda, who bought the auto-rickshaw on installment just three to four months ago, was emotionally shattered by the incident. He expressed his concerns about how he would continue his life and repay the installment for the vehicle in front of the journalists. As he spoke, tears welled up in his eyes.
The motive behind the crime is still unknown, and investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators responsible for the arson attack.
