The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, M. Riaz Hamidullah, has completed his three-day visit to Tripura, India and has departed for New Delhi. During his visit, Hamidullah focused on strengthening the traditional ties between the people of Bangladesh and Tripura, as well as exploring economic potential between the two countries.
Hamidullah held meetings with Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu to discuss ways to deepen the friendship between Bangladesh and Northeast India. On Sunday, he met with Governor Nallu and expressed his honor in discussing matters related to enhancing the relationship between the two regions.
Furthermore, on August 2, Hamidullah met with Chief Minister Dr. Saha to further discuss strengthening the traditional ties between the peoples of Bangladesh and Tripura. He expressed his pleasure in meeting with Dr. Saha and highlighted the importance of exploring economic potential between Northeast India and Bangladesh.
Upon his arrival in Tripura on August 1, Hamidullah paid tribute at Albert Ekka Park in Agartala and visited the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission. He also toured the Integrated Check Post at Agartala and the Akhaura Land Port to gain a better understanding of the economic opportunities between the two regions.
