The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, M Riaz Hamidullah, is set to embark on a three-day visit to Tripura, where he will engage in various meetings and visits with key officials in the region.
According to sources from the Tripura Chief Minister’s Office, M Riaz Hamidullah will be in Agartala from August 1 to 4. His visit is aimed at strengthening ties between Bangladesh and Tripura, as well as exploring potential areas of collaboration and cooperation.
On August 1, the High Commissioner will kick off his visit by paying floral tribute at Albert Ekka Park in Agartala, followed by a visit to the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in the city. He is also scheduled to visit the Integrated Check Post at Agartala and the Akhaura Land Port. In the evening, he will meet with Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha to discuss bilateral issues and opportunities for partnership.
The following day, on August 2, M Riaz Hamidullah will travel to Ashuganj and the DC Office in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh. He will also visit the Nischintapur Railway Station, which is part of the Akhaura-Agartala Rail Link project aimed at enhancing connectivity between the two countries.
On August 3, the High Commissioner will meet with Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu before visiting the Sabroom Integrated Check Post and Maitri Setu in the South District of Tripura. These visits are expected to further solidify the relationship between Bangladesh and Tripura, particularly in terms of trade and connectivity.
Finally, on August 4, M Riaz Hamidullah will depart for Delhi after a fruitful three-day visit to Tripura. The visit is seen as a positive step towards enhancing cooperation and collaboration between Bangladesh and Tripura, with a focus on economic development and connectivity.
