Agartala, Tripura: The Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the construction of an Ayushman Arogya Mandir was held in Ward No. 18 under the Agartala Municipal Corporation, marking an important step towards strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure in the area.
The ceremony was attended by the District Magistrate and Collector of Tripura, officials from the Public Works Department (Engineering Wing), local councillors, and other senior officials. The dignitaries highlighted the importance of accessible and quality healthcare services at the grassroots level.
According to officials, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir building will be constructed in phases. In the first phase, an amount of ₹80 lakh has been allocated for the construction of a modern hospital-like building equipped to provide essential healthcare services to local residents.
Officials stated that once completed, the facility will play a crucial role in delivering preventive, promotive, and basic curative healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat initiative. Local residents welcomed the project, expressing hope that it would significantly improve healthcare access in the ward.
