The camp saw an enthusiastic response from devotees, members of the Sabha, and local residents who gathered to contribute to the state’s blood reserves.
Devotion Meets Service
The annual conference, which usually focuses on spiritual discourses and congregational prayers, took a humanitarian turn this year. The organizers emphasized that serving the needy and saving lives through blood donation is one of the highest forms of ‘Bhakti’ (devotion).
Key Highlights of the Event:
- Spiritual Atmosphere: The camp began with traditional prayers, after which donors voluntarily stepped forward to participate in the life-saving drive.
- Youth Participation: A significant number of young devotees and members of the Haribhakti Pracharini Sabha were seen standing in queue to donate blood for the first time.
- Medical Support: A specialized medical team from the state blood bank supervised the collection process, ensuring all health and safety protocols were strictly followed.
The Message of Haribhakti Pracharini Sabha
The leadership of the Sabha addressed the media during the event, stating that such initiatives help in fostering a sense of universal brotherhood.
”Our annual conference is a time for reflection and prayer, but we believe that faith is incomplete without ‘Seva’ (service). By organizing this blood donation camp at Shib Bari, we aim to spread the message that the blood flowing in our veins belongs to the one Almighty and should be used to save our fellow human beings,” a spokesperson for the Sabha remarked.
Annual Conference Activities
Apart from the blood donation drive, the annual religious conference features:
- Religious Discourses: Sessions by prominent scholars on the philosophy of Haribhakti.
- Kirtan & Bhajan: Devotional music performances held throughout the day at Shib Bari.
