On Animesh Debbarma Joining BJP: The CM’s Response
The political corridors of Agartala have been rife with rumors suggesting that senior Tipra Motha leader and Minister Animesh Debbarma might be considering a formal move to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
When questioned by journalists about these speculations, the Chief Minister maintained a measured yet open-ended stance:
”In politics, doors are never permanently closed for those who believe in our ideology of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Development for All). Regarding Animesh Debbarma specifically, he is a valued colleague in the cabinet. Whether anyone joins the party is a matter of timing and mutual alignment with our leadership’s vision. At this moment, our focus is on the collective work of the alliance for the welfare of the state.”
While the CM did not confirm a formal transition, his refusal to dismiss the possibility has further fueled speculation among political analysts regarding a potential realignment within the ruling alliance.
Maintaining Alliance Stability
The CM underscored that the current focus remains on delivering a “pro-people” budget. He urged the media not to get carried away by rumors and assured that any significant political development would be communicated officially by the party’s central and state leadership.
