Agartala, March 11 — Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday attended the District Level Workshop aligned with the 4th National Conference of Chief Secretaries’ deliberations held at Rajarshi Hall, Udaipur. He emphasized the state government’s commitment to implementing the key outcomes of the national conference for the welfare and development of Tripura.
Addressing top administrative officials, Dr. Saha highlighted that government officials are the backbone of Tripura’s development. He echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India, urging the creation of “Team Tripura” — a united force to propel the state’s growth, similar to Team India.
He stated, “Team Tripura must work together to ensure overall development. Development efforts should go beyond PowerPoint presentations and be implemented on the ground so that government schemes reach common people.”
The Chief Minister also underlined the success of e-office initiatives in gram panchayats, noting that Tripura has moved from a performing state to a front-runner state due to its proactive governance measures.
The 4th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, held in New Delhi in December, aimed to define strategies for building a Developed India. As a follow-up, state-level workshops are being conducted to brief local administrative officers on these strategies.
Tuesday’s workshop brought together key officials from four districts of Tripura, including Chief Secretary J K Sinha, Secretary of Industry and Commerce Kiran Gitte, Secretary of Urban and Rural Development Abhishek Singh, Secretary of Science Technology and Environment Dr K Shashi Kumar, Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, and West Tripura District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar, among others.
