The Centre for Protection of Democratic Right and Secularism (CPDRS) organised a programme today in front of the historic Ujjayanta Palace, Agartala, to mark Human Rights Day.
Members of the organisation highlighted the importance of safeguarding democratic values, upholding constitutional rights, and promoting secular principles in society. Speakers stressed the need for continuous public awareness to ensure that fundamental rights are protected for all citizens.
Participants also raised concerns over growing violations of democratic norms and called for collective responsibility in strengthening human rights protections across Tripura.
The programme witnessed the presence of activists, students, and representatives of various civil society groups who joined in solidarity to reaffirm the significance of human rights in a democratic nation.
