Kamalpur, October 31, 2025: The Dhalai district administration has revoked the prohibitory order imposed under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in Kamalpur Sub-Division, citing a marked improvement in the law and order situation.
The restrictions, which came into force on October 23, were implemented in response to scattered incidents of violence during a strike called by the Tripura Civil Society. The prohibitory measures remained in effect for eight days.
According to an official order issued by Dhalai District Magistrate Vivek H. B, the decision to lift the order was made after reviewing reports from the Additional Superintendent of Police, Dhalai, who confirmed that normalcy had returned to the region and that adequate security forces were stationed at the Salema Police Station.
The order further stated that the prohibitory restrictions stand revoked with effect from 6:00 a.m. on October 31, 2025, under Section 163(5) of the BNSS, 2023.
Authorities have urged residents to maintain peace and harmony, assuring that security arrangements will remain in place to prevent any recurrence of unrest.
The administration also reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety and called for continued cooperation from the people to sustain the prevailing calm in Kamalpur and nearby areas.
