Chaos erupted at IGM Hospital yesterday after a shocking incident in which a female supervisor was reportedly assaulted and left bleeding by a male supervisor employed under a private agency.
According to hospital staff, the confrontation between the two supervisors turned violent during working hours, leading to serious injuries to the woman. The incident sparked outrage among sanitation workers, who today staged a protest inside the hospital premises.
The protesting workers surrounded the accused male supervisor, shouting slogans and demanding his immediate suspension. They also alleged that the supervisor had been harassing several female staff members for some time and that the authorities had failed to take their complaints seriously.
Security personnel were deployed to prevent the situation from escalating further. Hospital management has reportedly begun an internal inquiry, while police are expected to register a case based on the victim’s statement.
