On Friday night, the Bishramganj police arrested five individuals in connection with a financial scandal at the Sipahijala Police Superintendent’s office. Among the arrested are three ministerial staff members, one Tripura Police constable, and one outsider youth. The investigation revealed that the accused were attempting to embezzle over a lakh of rupees.
The accused include Jan Debbarma, Suchitra Sinha, Khokan De, Constable Harinath Debbarma, and outsider youth Khnilal Debbarma. It is alleged that they embezzled Rs.15 lakh through illicit means. The accused will be produced in court today.
