Agartala, Tripura: Like every year, the five-day-long Prantik Utsav was formally inaugurated at Dhaleswar Prantik Club with cultural fervour and public participation. The festival, known for its blend of cultural programmes and community engagement, drew a large gathering on the opening day.
Former Chief Minister and sitting Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb attended the inaugural programme as the chief guest, along with other dignitaries and local representatives. Addressing the gathering, he spoke on various contemporary issues, including recent developments related to Bangladesh.
Reacting to the Bangladesh issue, MP Biplab Kumar Deb stated that India is closely watching the situation and stressed that any form of violence, extremism, or threat to national security and minorities cannot be ignored. He underlined the importance of safeguarding national interest while maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The Prantik Utsav will continue for five days, featuring cultural performances, social programmes, and community activities. Organisers said the festival aims to promote cultural harmony and provide a platform for local talent.
