Mimi Majumdar, the former legislator and state president of the BJP Women’s Wing, visited the home of the specially abled Romeo Rangkal in a remote village in the Mohakuma of Tripura. Romeo, who is a student at Kamalachhara High School, has successfully passed his secondary examinations despite facing poverty, remoteness, and physical disabilities.
Impressed by Romeo’s extraordinary personality, Mimi Majumdar visited his home to congratulate and extend her best wishes. She also expressed heartfelt congratulations to Romeo’s parents for their unwavering support and encouragement. Majumdar stated, “Romeo’s success has created a new atmosphere of hope and strength in our society. His victory is not just personal—it is an incredible success story against all odds in society. Behind this success lies the boundless sacrifice of the family and the patient support of teachers. I express my sincere gratitude to them.”
Although Romeo did not score very high marks, his personality is not limited by numbers. It is a silent revolution where a child from a poor family in a remote village has triumphed over all adversities, proving that nothing is impossible for willpower.
Romeo is not only good at studying but also extremely skilled at drawing. His artistic talent and mature thinking are an exceptional inspiration for any student. His story proves that with opportunity and support, talent can rise from even the most remote villages.
Romeo’s success is a testament to the power of determination and the human spirit. It serves as a reminder that with dedication and perseverance, anyone can achieve their dreams, regardless of their circumstances.
