AGARTALA: To commemorate the fourth anniversary of the current board of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), a special humanitarian program was organized today at the Ward No. 49 Office. The event, spearheaded by the local Corporator Shri Harisadhan Debnath, saw the distribution of warm blankets to hundreds of underprivileged residents to help them brave the winter chill.
A Milestone of Development and Service
The program was graced by the Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala, Shri Dipak Majumder, who formally handed over the blankets to the beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor reflected on the four-year journey of the Corporation, highlighting the transformation of Agartala into a more liveable and modern city.
“The completion of four years is not just a date for us; it is a reminder of our commitment to the people of Agartala. While we focus on big infrastructure projects like smart roads and drainage, we must never forget the most vulnerable members of our society. This blanket distribution is a small gesture of our ongoing support for the needy,” Mayor Dipak Majumder stated.
