AGARTALA: Marking five decades of social service and community bonding, the Shanti Sangha of Charipara commenced its Golden Jubilee (Subarna Jayanti) celebrations with a series of philanthropic initiatives today. The highlight of the day was a mega blood donation camp organized at the club premises, which was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.
A Noble Start to the Jubilee Year
The club, which has been a cornerstone of social activities in the Charipara area for 50 years, turned into a hub of humanitarian spirit this morning. Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, known for his support of social causes, lauded the club for choosing a blood donation camp to kickstart their landmark year.
Addressing the gathering after the ceremonial lamp lighting, the Governor emphasized that blood donation is the highest form of service to humanity. However, he went a step further, urging the youth and citizens of Tripura to embrace organ donation.
“Blood donation saves lives immediately, but organ donation can give the gift of life to multiple people even after we are gone. I urge the members of Shanti Sangha and the people of this state to become pioneers in organ donation awareness. Let our legacy be the lives we save,” the Governor remarked.
