In a prestigious ceremony held today at Lok Bhavan (Raj Bhavan), the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, formally felicitated the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets who represented the state with distinction at the national level. The event was organized to honor the cadets who participated in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 in New Delhi and the Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) during the 2025–26 session.
The Governor presented certificates and mementos to the achievers, acknowledging their rigorous training and successful representation of Tripura on the national stage.
Recognizing National Excellence
The RDC and TSC are considered the most competitive and prestigious camps in the NCC calendar, requiring months of grueling selection trials.
- Republic Day Camp (RDC): Cadets from Tripura were part of the North East Region (NER) Directorate, participating in the iconic parade at Kartavya Path and the prestigious Prime Minister’s Rally.
- Thal Sainik Camp (TSC): Cadets showcased their skills in specialized military subjects, including map reading, field craft, and firing, bringing laurels to the state through their technical proficiency.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu lauded the discipline, patriotism, and dedication shown by the young cadets.
”The NCC is a nursery for future leaders and disciplined citizens. Your success in national-level camps like RDC and TSC is a moment of immense pride for all of Tripura. You are playing a pivotal role in the task of nation-building. I hope your achievements inspire more young boys and girls from our state to join the NCC and serve the nation,” the Governor stated.
Key Objectives of the Event
The felicitation ceremony at Lok Bhavan served multiple purposes:
- Boosting Morale: Public recognition of the cadets’ hard work and the sacrifices made during their months of training.
- Youth Encouragement: Motivating the youth of Tripura to look at the NCC as a platform for character building and a stepping stone toward a career in the Armed Forces.
- Achievement Records: The cadets were awarded specialized certificates and commemorative plaques as tokens of the state’s appreciation for their meritorious service.
Distinguished Presence
The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the NCC Directorate, officials from the state administration, and the proud families of the cadets. The cadets, dressed in their ceremonial uniforms, expressed their gratitude to the Governor, noting that such recognition from the head of the state significantly boosts their confidence for future national competitions.
The event concluded with a group photo of the RDC and TSC contingents with the Governor, followed by an interaction where Shri Nallu inquired about their experiences in the national capital.
