Guwahati is preparing to host the Srimanta Sankardeva Award ceremony at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra on April 25, with President Droupadi Murmu as the chief guest.
Preparations are underway for the Srimanta Sankardeva Award ceremony, which will be held on April 25 at Guwahati’s Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra.
President Droupadi Murmu will attend the event as the chief guest during her two-day visit to the state.
Following directives from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Secretary Ravi Kota conducted a thorough inspection of the venue on Thursday. The inspection aimed to ensure that all arrangements are in place for the Srimanta Sankardeva Award Ceremony.
“Held detailed discussions with all stakeholders, with special emphasis on creating an ambience that appropriately honors the legacy of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva,” a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.
Officials also reviewed the list of dignitaries, traffic management plans, and logistical arrangements to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
Previously, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a meeting with senior officials and Gauhati University authorities at Lok Sewa Bhawan to review the preparations for President Droupadi Murmu’s upcoming visit to the state.
