A tragic tale of love and betrayal has unfolded in Tripura, where a young man, driven to despair by alleged romantic deception, attempted to take his own life. The victim, identified as Suman Das from Kathalia in the Sipahijala district, is currently battling for survival in a hospital bed.
Suman has accused a female police constable, Chinmoyee Sarkar, of engaging in a romantic relationship with him under false pretenses. Sarkar, who is stationed at the Dharmanagar Women’s Police Station in North Tripura, allegedly concealed her marital status and the fact that she has a 12-year-old daughter.
Despite knowing these facts, Suman fell deeply in love with Chinmoyee, envisioning a life together. The couple reportedly shared intimate moments and traveled to various locations. However, Suman was unaware that Chinmoyee was allegedly involved with two other men.
The revelation of Chinmoyee’s other relationships surfaced when Suman shared their photos on social media. Subsequently, Suman received threatening calls from Chinmoyee’s other partners, demanding that he end the relationship. Chinmoyee herself allegedly threatened to leave Suman.
Devastated by the betrayal, Suman attempted suicide by consuming poison. He is currently hospitalized and fighting for his life. This incident has raised serious questions about the nature of the relationship, and the actions of the police constable.
This story highlights the dangers of romantic deception, and the devistating effects it can have on those involved.
