The Higher Secondary (H.S. +2 Stage) examinations, conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), officially commenced across the state today. Thousands of students appeared for their first papers at various designated centers, marking the beginning of one of the most crucial academic milestones in the state.
To ensure a fair and smooth examination process, Dr. Dhananjoy Gon Choudhury, President of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education, conducted surprise visits to several examination centers in and around Agartala.
Supervision and Strict Protocols
During his inspection, Dr. Gon Choudhury interacted with center secretaries and invigilators to review the administrative arrangements. He expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the exams on the first day.
Key observations during the visit:
- Security Measures: Adequate police presence was ensured at all centers to maintain law and order and prevent any outside interference.
- Anti-Cheating Drive: The President reiterated the “zero-tolerance” policy against any form of malpractice. Flying squads have been deployed across all districts to monitor the examination halls.
- Student Welfare: Instructions were given to ensure proper lighting, drinking water facilities, and a peaceful environment for the candidates.
A Message to the Candidates
Speaking to the media outside one of the centers, Dr. Dhananjoy Gon Choudhury extended his best wishes to all the examinees.
”The Board has taken every possible step to ensure that students can appear for their exams without any stress. We have streamlined the process, and I urge all students to stay focused and perform to the best of their abilities,” the TBSE President stated.
State-Wide Participation
According to preliminary reports from the Board, the exams started on time in all sub-divisions, including remote areas. The state government has also issued directives to the power department to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to examination centers and residential areas during the study hours of the students.
The Higher Secondary examinations are scheduled to continue over the next few weeks, with results expected to be announced following the evaluation period in late May or early June.
