Human Rights Day was observed across Tripura today, 10 December, in solidarity with nationwide celebrations. In Agartala, the main programme was organised at the CITU State Office premises in Office Lane.
A large gathering assembled at the venue, from where a rally commenced and moved through the city, finally concluding at Orient Chowmuhani. Following the rally, a brief discussion meeting was held, highlighting the significance of protecting human rights, promoting social justice, and strengthening democratic values.
Speakers underscored the need for continuous public engagement and collective responsibility to safeguard constitutional rights for all citizens. The programme witnessed participation from workers’ organisations, social groups, and members of the community.
