ICAR Tripura Centre Organized a Strategic Roadmap Workshop for Advancing Crop Improvement, Livelihood, and Nutritional Security in Tripura — Hon’ble Governor attended as Chief Guest
The ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Tripura Centre, organized a State-Level Workshop on “Strategic Roadmap for Advancing Crop Improvement to Ensure Livelihood and Nutritional Security in Tripura” on March 13, 2025, starting at 10:45 AM. The event was held at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura.
The workshop was graced by Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, as the Chief Guest, underscoring the significance of this initiative toward strengthening the agricultural landscape of Tripura.
Key Highlights of the Event:
Participation of over 200 farmers from across Tripura.
Inclusion of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and Agricultural Enterprises for knowledge sharing and collaborative discussions.
Deliberations on innovative strategies for crop improvement, sustainable farming practices, and ways to enhance livelihood and nutritional security for the farming community.
The workshop aims to bring together various stakeholders to formulate actionable strategies that will empower farmers, boost agricultural productivity, and ensure food and nutritional security in the region.
