In a special enforcement drive conducted on Wednesday, the Traffic Department of Agartala took strict action against illegally parked vehicles in the bustling GB Bazaar area. The campaign was aimed at ensuring smoother traffic flow and better public safety.
According to officials, vehicles parked improperly on public roads were lifted and removed from the area. The department made it clear that such operations will be more frequent in the coming days to maintain order.
“We request all citizens not to park their vehicles in unauthorized zones,” said a senior traffic officer during the operation.
Residents and commuters welcomed the move, as illegal parking often causes severe traffic congestion, especially during market hours.
