India Condemns Killing, Experts Criticize Bangladesh
Following the abduction and killing of Bhabesh Chandra Roy, a Hindu minority leader in Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in India has expressed strong concern. International affairs expert Robinder Sachdev and former diplomat KP Fabian have also reacted sharply to the incident.
Sachdev stated, “B’desh always tries to copycat Pakistan,” highlighting what they perceive as a troubling pattern.
The MEA, on April 19th, condemned the “abduction and brutal killing” as part of a “troubling pattern of persecution.” The Ministry urged the interim government in Bangladesh to ensure the protection of all minorities.
Experts have called for stronger measures from Bangladeshi authorities to prevent such violence and have criticized the perceived lack of a prompt response in this case.
