The recent massacre in Kashmir targeting Hindu tourists has sparked international condemnation from world leaders such as U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gidon Sa’ar, and Iran.
President Trump expressed solidarity with India and offered condolences to the victims of the attack in a statement shared on his social media platform, Truth Social. He condemned the act of terrorism and pledged support to India in the fight against terrorism. Israel’s Foreign Minister Gidon Sa’ar also strongly denounced the attack and expressed solidarity with India in combating Islamist terror.
Iran, in an unusual move, joined in condemning the killings as well. The Iranian Embassy in India and the Foreign Ministry in Tehran issued a statement calling the attack a “heinous terrorist crime” that goes against human rights norms. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei expressed sympathy with the victims’ families and reiterated Iran’s stance against terrorism. He called for stronger regional cooperation to hold the perpetrators accountable.
Russian President Putin also extended condolences to India over the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. He described the attack as a “brutal crime” with no justification and pledged that the perpetrators would face deserved punishment.
The international community’s condemnation of the Kashmir massacre highlights the need for global cooperation in combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of all people, regardless of their religion or nationality. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism and the importance of standing together against such acts of violence.
