Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) achieved their second-highest total in Indian Premier League (IPL) history during their away match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday.
After being put in to bat by KKR, LSG’s opening batsmen, Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram, provided a rapid start. The pair forged a 99-run partnership for the first wicket, setting the stage for a powerful finish. Nicholas Pooran then unleashed an explosive batting display, propelling Lucknow Super Giants to a final score of 238/3 in their 20 overs. This score also stands as the second-highest ever recorded at the Eden Gardens venue.
While LSG’s performance was impressive, the highest total in IPL 2025 remains 286, scored by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Sunrisers Hyderabad also holds the all-time IPL record for the highest score, having previously posted 287 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Lucknow Super Giants’ highest-ever IPL score is 257, which they achieved against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali during the 2023 season.
