The city of Dhaka is currently facing major traffic congestion in various key areas such as Motijheel, Paltan, and Dainik Bangla intersection as a result of a grand rally organized by three affiliated organizations of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) – Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal.
In addition to these areas, neighborhoods near Kakrail, Moghbazar, Shantinagar, Malibagh, Bijoynagar, and Fakirapool are also experiencing traffic slowdowns due to the large gathering for the rally.
The leaders and activists of the BNP and its affiliated organizations began assembling at Nayapaltan early in the morning in preparation for the event. The rally is expected to draw a large number of supporters and participants, causing further congestion in the already crowded streets of Dhaka.
Authorities are urging commuters to plan their routes accordingly and to expect delays in their travel as the rally progresses. Traffic police are working to manage the situation and ensure the safety of all those attending the event.
The BNP has a history of organizing rallies and protests to voice their political opinions and demand change in the government. This rally is seen as a way for the party to demonstrate their strength and unity in the face of ongoing political challenges.
As the rally continues throughout the day, residents and commuters in Dhaka are advised to stay updated on the traffic situation and to avoid the affected areas if possible.
