The beautifully designed and visually striking Pushpa Udyan in the Badharghat area was formally inaugurated today by Minister Ratanlal Nath. With the unveiling of the plaque, the garden is now officially open to the public in exchange for a minimal entry ticket, making it accessible to families, visitors, and students.
The newly opened floral garden, located adjacent to Science City, is expected to become a major attraction for nature lovers and students alike. Officials stated that special provisions will be available for schoolchildren to encourage educational visits and outdoor learning.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including Apurba Roy, Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare; Dr. Fani Bhusan Jamatia, Director of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare; Deepak Kumar Das, Director of Horticulture and Soil Conservation; Sujit Kumar Das, Deputy Director (West) of the same department; and MIDH Consultant Gopal Mall, among others.
Authorities believe the new garden will boost local tourism while offering a serene recreational space for residents.
