Minister Sudhangshu Das, overseeing the departments of Scheduled Caste Welfare, Fisheries, and Animal Resources Development (ARDD), recently conducted a comprehensive review meeting in West Tripura to assess the progress and implementation of various developmental schemes for the fiscal year 2025–26.
The meeting, held at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s Office, aimed to ensure the timely delivery of government benefits to eligible beneficiaries. Minister Das stressed the importance of efficient implementation of projects under the three key departments to achieve the developmental goals outlined by the state government.
Emphasizing the significance of reaching the last mile and improving the lives of the people through welfare schemes, Minister Das highlighted the critical role played by timely and effective implementation in this process.
Discussions during the meeting focused on infrastructure development, livestock promotion, fisheries growth, and social welfare initiatives targeted at uplifting Scheduled Caste communities. Strategies to address implementation challenges and enhance inter-departmental coordination were also explored in detail.
The gathering brought together officials from the three departments, local MLAs, West Tripura Zilla Sabhadhipati, District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, and other key stakeholders. Their active participation fostered a constructive dialogue aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing the quality of public service delivery at the district level.
Minister Das commended the ongoing efforts of the district administration and urged all departments to maintain momentum in executing welfare and development programs. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of welfare projects for the benefit of the people of West Tripura.
