Shri Tinku Roy, Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare and Social Education, attended the Parents’ Meet Programme held today at Pragna Bhavan, Hall No. 3, Agartala, in observance of Adoption Awareness Month 2025.
The programme aimed to spread awareness about the legal adoption framework, highlight child welfare measures, and guide prospective parents on transparent and secure adoption procedures. Officials, social workers, and child welfare representatives discussed vital topics such as counselling support, post-adoption follow-up, and government initiatives designed to simplify and strengthen adoption services in Tripura.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Tinku Roy reaffirmed the government’s dedication to safeguarding children’s rights and encouraging responsible adoption. He encouraged families to come forward through legal channels to provide stable, caring homes for children awaiting placement.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from parents, stakeholders, and members of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department.
