Agartala: Marking the upcoming birthday of Tripura Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on January 8, the Bardowali Mandal has announced a month-long series of social and organisational programmes. The details were shared during a press conference held on Monday at the Bardowali Mandal office.
Speaking to the media, Mandal President Shyamal Kumar Deb said that a bouquet of programmes has been planned focusing on social service, cleanliness, health, environment and youth engagement. The press conference was also attended by Mandal General Secretary Pinaki Chakraborty and Saumya Shubhra Pal.
As part of the celebrations, Mandal members will offer special prayers on the morning of January 8 at Mela Maidan Kalibari, seeking long life and good health for the Chief Minister. Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha is also expected to be present at the prayer programme.
On the same day, a mega blood donation camp will be organised at IGM Hospital. The Mahila Morcha will distribute fruits and sweets among elderly women in the area, while a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan cleanliness drive will be conducted throughout the month across all wards under the Bardowali Mandal.
The programme schedule also includes tree plantation drives, sports events organised by the Yuva Morcha, and birthday observances at Nagerjala and Motor Stand areas. The organisers said the initiatives aim to combine celebration with community service and public welfare.
